Project Free TCG

Official Giveaway Rules

Last updated: October 8, 2026

No purchase necessary.

Buying a newsletter membership, making a donation, or purchasing anything else will never provide an extra entry or improve the chance of winning a Project Free TCG giveaway.

1. How these rules work

These are the general rules for giveaways operated by Project Free TCG. The page for each individual giveaway forms part of these rules and will identify the prize, approximate retail value, number of prizes, entry period, draw date, and any giveaway-specific conditions.

If a giveaway page contains a specific term that conflicts with these general rules, the giveaway-specific term applies to that giveaway to the extent permitted by law.

2. Eligibility

Unless a giveaway states otherwise, entry is open to legal residents of Canada and the 50 United States or District of Columbia who meet the age requirements below, except where prohibited or restricted by applicable law.

A person aged 13 or older who is below the age of majority where they reside may enter only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Before any prize is awarded to a minor, that parent or guardian must verify their identity, consent, and acceptance of applicable winner requirements.

A child under 13 may not enter independently. A parent or legal guardian who is of legal adult age must enter in their own name, with their own contact information, and is the official entrant and prize recipient. The same process applies to a 13-year-old in Quebec. Do not submit children's names, email addresses, or other personal details.

People directly involved in administering or drawing a Project Free TCG giveaway, and members of their immediate household, are not eligible to enter that giveaway.

3. How to enter

Entry is free through the official entry form on the applicable giveaway page during the posted entry period. One entry per person per giveaway is permitted unless the giveaway page expressly states otherwise. A parent entering on behalf of a child is the entrant and may not submit additional entries for other children or in another capacity.

Entrants must provide accurate information. Canadian entrants must correctly answer the skill-testing question to be eligible to win; U.S. entrants are not required to complete it. Duplicate entries, automated or bot-generated entries, entries submitted using false information, or attempts to manipulate a giveaway may be rejected or disqualified.

4. Prizes and odds

The number of prizes and the approximate retail value of each prize are disclosed on the applicable giveaway page. Unless otherwise specified, displayed prize values are in Canadian dollars and Project Free TCG covers ordinary prize shipping within Canada and the eligible United States. Any applicable tax-reporting obligations will be handled as required by law.

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for that giveaway and the number of prizes available. No purchase, newsletter membership, or donation affects those odds.

Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are not transferable before award. If an advertised prize becomes genuinely unavailable, Project Free TCG may substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate value where permitted by law.

5. Winner selection and verification

After entries close, potential winners are selected at random from eligible entries using the Project Free TCG administrative draw system. A selected entrant is only a potential winner until eligibility has been verified.

A potential winner may be asked to confirm their identity, Canadian or U.S. residency, age eligibility, shipping information, and compliance with these rules. For entrants below the age of majority, parent or guardian identity and consent verification is mandatory before the prize is awarded. For a parent-entered entry, the parent must verify their own eligibility and guardian status. A declaration, release, or tax document may also be required where reasonably necessary and legally permitted.

Potential winners will normally be contacted using the email address submitted with the entry. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted, does not respond within 7 calendar days, provides false or unverifiable information, fails a required verification, or otherwise does not comply with these rules, they may be disqualified and another eligible entry may be drawn.

6. Winner announcement and prize delivery

Once verified, a winner may be publicly identified using only their first name, last initial, state or province/territory, and the prize won. For a parent-entered entry, only the official adult entrant is identified. Project Free TCG does not publish a winner's email, postal code, ZIP code, street address, or other private contact details.

Project Free TCG will make reasonable efforts to deliver prizes without undue delay after verification. No fee or purchase is required to claim a legitimate Project Free TCG prize.

7. Fairness and technical problems

Project Free TCG may reject entries that are corrupted, incomplete, fraudulent, abusive, or generated through methods that interfere with the fair operation of a giveaway.

If fraud, a technical failure, security incident, or another event outside reasonable control materially affects a giveaway, Project Free TCG may suspend, modify, or cancel the affected portion as reasonably necessary to preserve fairness and comply with applicable law. Any material change will be posted on the site.

8. Privacy

Personal information collected for giveaway entry is used only to administer the giveaway, prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries, contact and verify potential winners, deliver prizes, and meet legal obligations. Giveaway entry information is not automatically added to the paid newsletter or used for unrelated marketing.

Once all required winners for a giveaway have been verified, Project Free TCG automatically deletes non-winning entry records, unless retention is legally required. An entry collects the adult or eligible teen entrant's name, email, country, region, postal or ZIP code, age/guardian declaration and submission time. We do not request personal details of children for parent-entered entries. Only winner information reasonably needed to document and administer the award is retained.

For details about collection, service providers, retention, and deletion, read the Privacy Policy.

9. General conditions

By entering, an entrant agrees to these rules and to decisions reasonably made by Project Free TCG in administering the giveaway, subject always to rights that cannot legally be waived.

Project Free TCG is an independent giveaway project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., or any other prize manufacturer or brand unless a giveaway page expressly says otherwise.
